When you log in to your account, you start at your Pet Dashboard. From here you can create new pets, edit your current pet information, set your overall preferences or go to the Care Chart for a particular pet.
Set Your Preferences
When you first open an account, you should check your user preferences before creating pets (click on Preferences). Be sure to decide what Unit of Measure you prefer to use: ounces, grams, pounds or kilograms. Changing user preferences will NOT affect existing pet information. These are just your defaults for adding new pets.
Add or Update a Pet
When you add a pet, there are only a few key pieces of information needed. The Days, Alert and Unit of Measure will default in from your Preferences. You can change them to be different for each pet.
The birthday is needed to calculate age (coming in a future release). Take your best guess if you don't know and indicate how much of a guess it is. You must also select a pet type.
Your information is completely confidential. However, we envision using some of the data in aggregate in the future to help report on weight statistics of pets--to provide better information back to pet owners everywhere. So, please indicate your statistics preferences.
Initial Care Chart View
You get to the Care Chart for your pet by clicking on the GRAPH ICON in the Actions column of your Pet Dashboard.
The Enter Info Tab displays all of the dates for which you've entered data. It only shows the basic weight data columns here, but you can also enter dates with just journal entry information as well. You add new data by clicking the "ADD WEIGHT OR JOURNAL" button. You edit data for an existing date by clicking the PENCIL ICON.
Enter Weight and Info
The date will default to today's date. You can type in a different date or use the Calendar Icon. The date must be in MM-DD-YYYY format.
Enter the weight in the unit of measure that you've selected. You may NOT mix units of measure for a pet. Use as many decimal point places as you need.
Notes are intended to be short notes that display on the weight Results Tab.
The Baseline Reset is explained in more detail here. It is usually only checked after the fact -- when you are editing a weight point.
The Body Condition Score is explained in more detail here.
The Results Tab
All relevant calculations are shown on the Results Tab.
The values are explained in more detail here.
Red lines indicate an alert was hit. Green lines indicate the baseline was reset on that date.
You can ask to display a given date range. You can change the number of lines to display per page, including display all.
The resulting graph is also shown below the list of results for you to review.
The Graph Tab
This tab allows you to focus on just the generated graph.
The Journal Tab
This tab shows the Weights, Notes, Journal and Body Condition Score.
To edit (or delete) a value, simple select that date on the Enter Info Tab.
